Monthly fees are paid prorate by the 5th of the month. Invoices will be emailed at the end of each month to the email address on the learner’s registration form. In the event that payment is not reflected by the 10th day of the month, and no proof of payment is provided, lessons will be immediately terminated and parents will be messaged to either not bring their child to school or to please fetch their child from the school. Thank you for your co-operation in this regard.

C.Discounts: are offered for sibling rates and payments in advance – three-month, six-month, or twelve-month payment plans. Discounts of 5% for two sibling learners, 8% for three sibling learners, and 10% discount for more than three learners.

D.If parents wish to enroll their child directly with Cambrilearn, the fee structure will then change and two payments a month will be required – one to the centre and one to Cambrilearn for the curriculum. Should parents prefer this option, the onus is up to the parent to register and pay Cambrilearn. PLEASE USE THE FOLLOWING CODE WHEN ENROLLING WITH CAMBRILEARN FROM MY CENTRE. This will grant you a slight discount

All details of Cambrilearn can be found online, however, should you need any assistance in this regard, please do not hesitate to ask me.

E.The centre fees(if parents wish to go directly through Cambrilearn) are as follows: Cambrilearn CAPs curriculum Grade 1 to Grade 7 and Cambrilearn British International Foundations I flat rate of R4860 per month. Cambrilearn CAPs Grade 8 to Grade 12 and Cambrilearn British Curriculum Foundations II and IGCSE flat rate of R3770 per month.

The secondary school rate is cheaper and may fluctuate depending on the requirements of expert subject teachers offering online or contact lessons on request by the student/s. Any extra lessons will be added to the monthly flat rate of R3770. The flat rate includes weekly schedules, extra enrichment worksheets, the use of any facilities at the centre (e.g. Wi-Fi, books etc.) and overseeing that the work is completed.

Since the teachers at the centre are qualified primary and middle school teachers, we will be responsible for teaching and marking the younger grades’ work, therefore no outside teachers will be necessary, however, this is subject to certain topics within the curriculum, especially from Grades 7 and Foundations I where an expert may be called in and a once-off additional charge will be added to the monthly invoice.

F.Stationary pack: Please note that as of 2024, the Cottage Academy will be supplying a stationary pack that includes all writing material from pens, and pencils to books and files for R1 000 once-off payment for the year. Your child/ren’s stationery will be labelled and kept safe at the centre. This will alleviate any stationery shopping stress at the start of the year. However, a pencil case with a blue or black pen, a pencil, an eraser, a sharpener, some coloured pencils, a highlighter, a pair of scissors, a ruler and a glue stick should be kept at home for any work to be completed at home.

G.A once-off levy: of R250 for the year will be added to February’s invoice. Every learner must please donate a box of tissues, a toilet roll, and a ream of A4 photocopying paper to the centre. This will also be collected in February but can be brought in at the start of the school year.

H.Primary school CAP curriculum textbooks are purchased by the school for the learners to use and remain on the school property. High School British International textbooks are an extra expense to parents. We can try to source second-hand textbooks but these textbooks, unfortunately, ‘expire’ every two to four years as the curriculum changes and new textbooks are required.

I.Please keep in mind that additional amounts may be requested for the provision of any extras from an educational enrichment programme to treats like an occasional pizza day, hot chocolate for a dreary day or our end-of-year celebration. Additional costs will be billed over a few months to make the monthly payments as affordable as possible. I always look for the most cost-effective yet educational sound activity to benefit the learners extremely.

J.We will continue with the weekly Reading For Me comprehension and only newcomers will need to purchase these books at an approximate extra cost of R80 over four months. Furthermore, an online story writing activity to improve story writing and creativity is being considered for next year.
